Eph 5:1
aTherefore be imitators of God, as beloved children.
Eph 5:2
And bwalk in love, cas Christ loved us and dgave himself up for us, a efragrant foffering and sacrifice to God.

 ἡμᾶς = RP NA/NIV: || ὑμᾶς = WH Treg
 ἡμῶν = RP NA/NIV Treg: || ὑμῶν = WH

Eph 5:3
But isexual immorality and all impurity or covetousness jmust not even be named among you, as is proper among saints.
Eph 5:4
Let there be lno filthiness nor foolish talk nor crude joking, mwhich are out of place, but instead nlet there be thanksgiving.
Eph 5:5
For you may be sure of this, that peveryone who is sexually immoral or impure, or who is covetous ( qthat is, an idolater), has no inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and God.
 ἴστε = WH Treg NA/NIV: || ἔστε = RP
 ὅ = WH Treg NA/NIV: || ὅς = RP

Eph 5:6
tLet no one udeceive you with empty words, for because of these things vthe wrath of God comes upon wthe sons of disobedience.
Eph 5:7
Therefore xdo not become partners with them;
Eph 5:8
for yat one time you were zdarkness, but now you are light in the Lord. aaWalk as children of light
Eph 5:9
(for abthe fruit of light is found in all that is good and right and true),
 φωτὸς = WH Treg NA/NIV: || πνεύματος = RP
Eph 5:10
and adtry to discern what is pleasing to the Lord.
Eph 5:11
aeTake no part in the afunfruitful agworks of darkness, but instead ahexpose them.
Eph 5:12
For aiit is shameful even to speak of the things that they do in secret.
Eph 5:13
But when ajanything is exposed by the light, it becomes visible,
Eph 5:14
for anything that becomes visible is light. Therefore it says,

akAwake, O sleeper,
and alarise from the dead,
and amChrist will shine on you.”

Eph 5:15
anLook carefully then how you walk, not as unwise but as wise,
Eph 5:16
apmaking the best use of the time, because aqthe days are evil.
Eph 5:17
Therefore do not be foolish, but understand what arthe will of the Lord is.
 συνίετε = WH Treg NA/NIV: || συνιέντες = RP
Eph 5:18
And atdo not get drunk with wine, for that is audebauchery, but avbe filled with the Spirit,
Eph 5:19
addressing one another in awpsalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody to the Lord with your heart,
Eph 5:20
azgiving thanks always and for everything to God the Father bain the name of our Lord Jesus Christ,
Eph 5:21
bbsubmitting to one another out of reverence for Christ.

Eph 5:22
bcWives, bdsubmit to your own husbands, beas to the Lord.
Eph 5:23
For bgthe husband is the head of the wife even as bhChrist is the head of the church, his body, and is bihimself its Savior.
Eph 5:24
Now as the church submits to Christ, so also wives should submit bkin everything to their husbands.

 ὡς = WH Treg NA/NIV: || ὡσπερ = RP

Eph 5:25
bnHusbands, love your wives, as Christ loved the church and bogave himself up for her,
Eph 5:26
that he might sanctify her, having cleansed her by bqthe washing of water brwith the word,
Eph 5:27
so bsthat he might present the church to himself in splendor, btwithout spot or wrinkle or any such thing, that she might be holy and without blemish.
Or holy and blameless
 αὐτὸς = WH Treg NA/NIV: || αὐτὴν = RP
Eph 5:28
In the same way bwhusbands should love their wives as their own bodies. He who loves his wife loves himself.
 καὶ = WH Treg NA/NIV: || [omit] = RP
Eph 5:29
For no one ever hated his own flesh, but nourishes and cherishes it, just as Christ does the church,
 Χριστὸς = WH Treg NA/NIV: || κύριος = RP
Eph 5:30
because bzwe are members of his body.
Eph 5:31
cbTherefore a man shall leave his father and mother and hold fast to his wife, and ccthe two shall become one flesh.”
 τὸν = WH NA/NIV RP: || [omit] = Treg
τὸν
 τὴν = WH NA/NIV RP: || [omit] = Treg
Eph 5:32
This mystery is profound, and I am saying that it refers to Christ and the church.
Eph 5:33
However, chlet each one of you love his wife as himself, and let the wife see that she cirespects her husband.
